RIP: Jan Berenstain, who co-created the beloved Berenstain Bears book series with her husband Stan, passed away Friday after suffering a stroke. She was 88.
Jan and Stan — who passed away in 2005 — published the first Berenstain Bears book, The Big Honey Hunt, in 1962. They were encouraged and assisted by the head of Random House’s Beginner Books imprint, Theodor Geisel (better known as Dr. Seuss).
The couple went on to produce over 300 books in the series, and have those books translated into over 20 languages.

I loved those books!

Hi. I'm Adam and I'm eighteen. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and currently attend The University of Pittsburgh in Bradford, Pennsylvania. I'm a city-goer, not made out for a rural climate.

I’m a lover of fairytales and fantasy. Sci-fi is a good, old pal too, along with dramatic fiction. I don’t really understand people who say they hate to read. I love reading and books. I do have an Amazon Kindle. Convenience beats nostalgia and paper sometimes.

I act, write plays, and stage manage. Drama is my friend when it's on the stage. I want to become a jack of all trades in LA and on Broadway as far as the dramatic arts go and can take me.

I like english classes. I don't think I could ever teach because I would either say "fuck it" or just teach whatever the hell I wanted to. Mundane Shit 101? sounds like a good class.

I want to know how to sing. I would like proper training.

I'm teaching myself how to play the guitar. I like to draw. I mainly art stuff I read. I use art as a verb.

I know how to play the clarinet and the saxophone. I am not fond of the clarinet after 12 years of band. The saxophone is pretty sweet though.

I like pop culture. I make references every so often.

I know a lot about film. Not about particular films but about how to make them and the creative and technical processes behind them.

I'm currently in the process of losing weight. My heaviest weight was 325lbs, my current goal weight is 220lbs. I am currently 224.4lbs. My ultimate goal is weight 200lbs. My basic rules are: I eat one salad a day as a meal. I go to the gym 6 times a week. Portion control. I started on August 31st.

I talk to everyone. I would enjoy talking to you, trust me. Everything interests me to at least a small degree.
